What if one day love couldn’t be found
You search the highest mountain
Even looked underground you
Couldn't quite prove it as a natural fact
It just up and vanished
With no sign of coming back
Where is the love
And what of lost love
It's just a point of view
A world covered in darkness
Despair and disease too
The science of pathology couldn’t
Even explain the effects to our
The feeling of disdain
An insatiable hunger no one or nothing
Could fill a deep bottomless hole
A real raw deal
It’s only because of love that I’m
Obliged to tell, that if we ever lost it
This would be a living hell
Where is the love
What if the lost of
Made the earthquake
The moon pull the tides
For all loves sake
It's only because of love I feel I should say
That if I ever lost it
I wouldn't care anyway

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
